One summer evening in late August, Lydia, Elisabeth and I were inspired to make a fancy meal. We roasted a chicken, made butternut squash pastry appetizers, ate fresh greens with our tasty garden tomatoes and drank sparkling white wine. It was dreamy!
Oh, hey New York - we decided to visit you a few weeks ago. Thanks for treating us like the classy ladies that we are. Gal-pal-only road trips are our favorite.

To sum it up:
Famous blueberry pancakes, the unsalted Lake Michigan in all its glory, an out-of-this world lightning storm across the water, sunburn, campfires, new nicknames, nightly ice cream outings, laughter, familiar stories, new stories, and the wonderful company of far-away friends. What a really amazing reunion should be all about. I’m thinking it should become a tradition that happens a little more often.
